He / She will partner with the Finance Business Partner Consumer Operations (FBP CO) team, Loyalty business partners, Marriott Business Services (MBS), IT, Tax, Legal, Financial Contract Compliance, Revenue Management, and the Customer Engagement Center (CEC) located in Salt Lake City, Utah in the execution of financial and operational business strategies and plans to support the ongoing fiscal needs and responsibilities of the Loyalty Program.The Manager will serve as a subject matter expert on financial matters related to the Loyalty Program and will lead efforts to compile, analyze and translate data into actionable financial information in support of the Program s financial objectives for the Global Loyalty team, Continents and other key stakeholders. The primary focus of the Manager is Loyalty Program hotel reimbursements and funding.The Manager will support departmental objectives. He/She will assist in execution of programs and enhancement of systems and processes that support key objectives to achieve the goals of these programs for Marriott and add value. He/She will therefore be adept at tapping diverse sources of information, identifying opportunities, anticipating challenges, and executing strategies to deliver against this objective.**EXPECTED CONTRIBUTIONS**+ Support with FBP Loyalty team for ongoing development and maintenance of financial reimbursement models for Loyalty Program, ensuring Program policies are designed to align overall Program costs and benefits, maintain the financial viability of the Program and to meet the objectives of the Loyalty leadership team.+ Ensure knowledge and understanding of Loyalty Program reimbursement and funding processes with emphasis on financial calculations and stay data process flow.+ Develop and maintain strong relationships with Loyalty business contacts to provide guidance and/or consultation in the development and implementation of strategies to improve financial and operational performance and owner transparency.+ Provide support for budgeting and forecasting of Program financial performance.+ Support the modeling and development of annual reimbursement policy changes to ensure proper communication and effective transitions.+ Support FBP CO leadership and the Loyalty business team to develop, document and implement policies as necessary to address Program, owner or hotel issues. This may include identification of gaps, collaboration with the Loyalty business team, documentation, and communication of the policies.+ Serve as a subject matter expert on financial matters related to the Loyalty Programs.+ Provide ad-hoc financial analysis as required by FBP CO leadership, or other key stakeholders in response to requests to evaluate owner impacts or inquiries, proposed Program enhancements, tax matters, or other areas of concern.+ Provide the necessary internal financial reporting and variance analysis to stakeholders for the Loyalty Program.+ Partner with stakeholders to develop and operationalize the appropriate financial controls and cost monitoring, reporting and control systems to ensure that financial results accurately reflect the Loyalty Program costs incurred and forecast projections.+ Maintain effective analysis, control and reporting processes. Analyze actual performance of costs against budget/forecast identifying major exceptions predicted effect on annual results and suggest corrective actions. Communicate financial impact of Program to stakeholders on a period basis. Maintain effective financial reporting systems.+ Establish and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with Program team and other key stakeholders to understand the business, ensure timely exchange of actionable financial information and customer satisfaction.+ Ensure the integrity and accuracy of data and reports produced through the systemic monitoring of key performance measures and the auditing of key reports on a sampling basis.
