Our Finance team serves as a critical business partner responsible for managing all global activities related to financial performance, accounting, tax, forecasting, risk management, and asset management\.**What will I be doing?**As the Senior Analyst, SEC Reporting & Technical Accounting you will have a hybrid role working with both the SEC Reporting and Technical Accounting teams\. This role will primarily be responsible for researching and documenting technical accounting analyses of complex transactions and preparing financial statement disclosures and related reporting under the U\.S\. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles \(U\.S\. GAAP\) to assist with completing required financial documents for the Securities and Exchange Commission \(SEC\) filings and other regulatory requirements\. You will also be responsible for assisting in the adoption of new accounting standards and the revision of accounting policies as well as assisting with financial reporting under International Financial Reporting Standard \(IFRS\) and local accounting principles\. You will be responsible for completion of all tasks, ensuring timely completion in accordance with established deadlines, and collaborating throughout the Accounting and Finance departments and other internal and external parties\.More specifically, you will:+ Prepare the consolidated financial statements and related footnotes to include in quarterly reviewed and annually audited financial statements, ensuring compliance under U\.S\. GAAP and the SEC reporting requirements, as applicable+ Prepare the earnings release, documents to support the earnings call and additional needs of the Investor Relations team+ Prepare written accounting memos documenting accounting issues and transactions for review by senior management and external auditors+ Prepare analyses supporting the development and evaluation of global accounting policies with input from accounting, finance, and other operational teams+ Prepare subsidiary financial statements for various reporting obligations, ensuring compliance with all reporting and disclosure requirements under U\.S\. GAAP or other standards, as applicable+ Monitor the activities of all accounting standard setting bodies, including the Financial Accounting Standards Board \(FASB\), the International Accounting Standards Board \(IASB\), the SEC, and the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board \(PCAOB\), and support analysis of the accounting and reporting effects of new standards\.+ Research the accounting/disclosure requirements of new accounting standards and transactions, considering relevant accounting literature and the effect of the new standard or transaction on the company s accounting policies and financial documents\.+ Coordinate with external auditors to provide requested documentation+ Organize and communicate status related to assignments and projects**What are we looking for?**The success in this role will demonstrate itself through the following attributes and skills:+ Effective communication skills, with the ability to clearly and concisely express ideas both verbally and in writing+ Strong attention to detail+ Complete discretion and confidentiality regarding sensitive information+ Ability to take initiative to identify, prioritize and implement all elements required for the team to fulfill responsibilities according to core strategic goals+ Strong analytical skills to solve problems effectively and creatively while maintaining a high level of flexibility, professionalism, and integrity+ Effectively address any issue in collaboration with others as appropriate and actively identify and prevent potential problems+ Ability to work well under pressure and effectively handle multiple, concurrent demands and appropriately prioritize responsibilities+ Ability to coordinate between various corporate offices**To fulfill this role successfully, you should demonstrate the following minimum qualifications:**+ Two \(2\) years of related experience in public accounting or a similar accounting field+ Proficiency with disaggregating, analyzing, and reconciling consolidated financial data in an accurate and timely manner+ Understanding of general accounting policies and procedures at a transaction level+ Proficient in Microsoft Office software applications, specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint**It would be helpful in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:**+ MA/MS Master s Degree+ Four \(4\) years of relevant experience+ Experience with SEC reporting, working with Workiva \(WDesk\) and iXBRL+ Experience working with general ledger systems and reporting packages, specifically PeopleSoft and Hyperion Financial Management+ CPA, CA or equivalent**What is it like working for Hilton?**The future of hospitality is bright at Hilton \( a leading global hospitality company with a diverse portfolio of world\-class brands \( \.
